INTEGRATING HUMAN RIGHTS INTO THE POST-2015 AGENDA
– The role of civil society in promoting justice and accountability
23–24 September 2014, Kuntatalo, Helsinki
The UN General Assembly is preparing a new development agenda for the years 2015–2030. KIOS believes that it is essential that the post-2015 development agenda is consisted and aligned with all human rights and that the agenda occurs through a participatory process in which all voices are heard. This approach is needed to achieve genuine advances in poverty reduction, conflict prevention and climate change adaptation.
The seminar focuses on the ways in which civil society and human rights can contribute to the process of formulation and in realization of post-2015 agenda.
