Responsible Organising Conference #2-Let’s Rethink Society!
On Tuesday, November 13th at HANKEN School of Economics, Helsinki (Arkadiankatu 22), 9:00-18:00
To take on the sustainability challenges the world is facing, each of us, as companies, as educational institutions and as individuals has a role to play. The key in finding innovative solutions to these complexities is collaboration. Hanken wants to be, together with you, a front-runner in bringing about the change we need and invites you to join forces in building a more inclusive, sustainable and responsible world!
Warm welcome to the Responsible Organising conference #2- Let’s rethink society! In this conference, we aim at exploring how can we collectively and responsibly take on the challenges the world is facing.
In a plenary session with President Tarja Halonen and Roelof van Laar (Founder, Children's Rights Challenge, former member of Dutch), we will talk about accountability mechanisms for Corporate Social Responsibility. Following the keynotes, Nina Elomaa (Director Corporate Responsibility, Fazer) and Timo Vuori (Executive Director, International Chamber of Commerce, Finland) among others will discuss how to tackle business’s human rights challenges through legislation. This session is organised in the backdrop of the #Ykkösketjuun campaign in Finland.
In the afternoon, five workshops are organized around various topics such as gender equality, inclusion, financial technologies, sustainable finance, mobility and migration. There is also an exhibition lined up to conclude an enlightening day on “Rethinking Society for the 21st Century” and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, which can be explored while networking and enjoying a glass of bubble.
