The World Federation of United Nations Associations is the largest nonprofit organization working globally for a stronger and more effective United Nations. Established in 1946, we represent and coordinate a membership of over 100 United Nations Associations and their thousands of members. We work to build a better world by strengthening and improving the United Nations, through the engagement of people who share a global mindset and support international cooperation - global citizens. Our Human Rights Training - from Passion to Profession strengthens the human rights advocacy capacity of young university students and provides them with concrete tools in human rights project management and guidance for their career development. This way, we aim to provide a complementary approach to existing university programs.

The training is tailored to the needs of university students between 18 - 30 years old, committed to human rghts and with an academic background in international relations, international law, political sciences or a related field.

Our training courses benefit from our well established network in Geneva and our proximity and close relations with the UN human rights bodies. They are carried out in English language for approximately 30 students per session. We offer an attractive training package, including accommodations and meals during the course, as well as assistance in visa applications prior to arrival.

The next Human Rights Training for University Students will be organized from 08-11 May 2012 in Geneva.
