Sector: Gender Integration in the CGIAR programme of Forests, Trees and Agroforestry

Qualifications:
Master’s degree in in the social sciences
A minimum of two years of relevant professional experience
Demonstrated experience in gender analysis especially in developing country settings
Strong knowledge of gender and institutions for natural resource management

Title: Associate Protection Officer (Citizenship) (JPO)
Sector: Protection (Statelessness)

Qualifications:
Master’s degree in in law, human rights, international relations or related field.
A minimum of two years of relevant professional experience.
Experience in working in a legal or protection capacity preferably in the field of human rights, statelessness or the protection of minorities.
Excellent knowledge of English. Knowledge of Arabic a plus.

Title: Associate Expert in Humanitarian Affairs (JPO)

Location: New York, USA
Qualifications:
Master’s degree in political or social sciences, international law, international relations, public administration or economics.
A minimum of two years of professional experience in humanitarian affairs, emergency management, rehabilitation and development, international policy or advocacy, or other related areas is required.
Strong analytical capacity and research skills
Expertise in conference management and organization with a wide array of different humanitarian and development stakeholders
English and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat. Excellent oral and written English is essential to this position.

Master’s Degree in Engineering or related field
A minimum of two years of experience in sustainable energy, power or heating systems, etc. preferably with some experience in a development context

2. Title: Junior Professional Officer (JPO)
Sector: Water and Sanitation
Location: New Delhi, India
Qualifications:
Master degree in in relevant discipline such as economics, communications, finance, public and business administration.
Minimum of two years of experience in private or public sector, involved directly in policy reform.
Knowledge and understanding of water and sanitation operations and management, including technical, financial and regulatory aspects would be an advantage.
Fluency in English is essential with effective report-writing and communication skills.
Hakuaika päättyy 21.10.2013 klo 16.15 (Suomen aikaa).
Mitä hakijoilta vaaditaan?
YK-apulaisasiantuntijoiksi hakevilta edellytetään:
- ylempää korkeakoulututkintoa,
- erinomaista englannin kielen taitoa,
- toisen YK:n virallisen kielen taitoa,
- 1-2 vuotta koulutusta vastaavaa työkokemusta,
- Suomen kansalaisuutta sekä
- korkeintaan 32 vuoden ikää.
Tehtävien kesto on kaksi vuotta (kolmas vuosi mahdollinen).
