The Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Finland would like to invite you to a seminar on the thematic of women, peace and security in the context of the Finnish development policy. In the first part of the seminar a study commissioned by the Ministry in 2009, titled "Women, Peace and Security: Implementation In Finnish Development Policy Of United Nations Security Council Resolution 1325 - With case studies from Kenya, Nepal and North-East India" led by Dr Paula Banerjee will be launched, presented and discussed. In the second part of the seminar expert comments on the topic will be delivered by Ms. Bineta Diop, Excecutive Director of the African NGO Femmes Africa Solidarité and Minister Elisabeth Rehn.
The seminar will be held in English and has an interactive character. The seminar is aimed for civil servants, politicians, researchers, NGO representatives and other professionals interested on the topic.
