The Civil Society Conflict Prevention Network (KATU) and the Crisis Management Centre Finland (CMC Finland) will host their 4th annual joint seminar on 20 October. This year's theme is the concept of human security. Widely used and differently defined, the concept has attracted both academia and policy makers during the past 15 years. The seminar focuses on the practical use of the concept and discusses the ways of promoting it at the global and national levels. The seminar is open to civil servants, non-governmental organisations and individuals interested in security issues. This year the seminar will be held in English.
